You guys can breath a sense of relief, for the royal enfield enthusiasts from across India are meeting for their annual meet in Ooty for 2 days. So no sounds in downtown! (Relief for some!) I know, with those Goldy silencers!!! What do they try to say ???

He He! The smile because i am a bulleteer myself. But definitely not to the point that some of them in Madras Bulls are: No way close… to many in that fraternity… For these are bunch of bikers who eat, sleep , drink, talk just biking!!!! Carboraters! Tanks! Tyres! Clutches!!!! All the time!!!

Back to the point! So this year the Rider Mania 2009 is being held in Ooty on the 24th and 25th of 2009. Every year some club takes the responsibility of running the show and this year it is the Bangalore based RTMC (Rolling Thunder Motorcycling Club) [Thanks Sushil and anonymous for the correction]The event is supposedly jointly sponsored by the bike makers RE itself.. but there were rumors that these guys refused the sponsorship!!! But that’s the sideline news!!!

Last heard the news was that more than 850 bikers had registered and were still counting. Bikers from as far as North East India are riding to RM.

Talk about Pan India brotherhood! :)

(boooooh!)

You may dislike them, hate them for their loud silencers, dislike their dislike towards you, dislike their hair styles!!!, but one thing that you can’t do is ignore them :)

Every guy has got a depth and perspective that only a biker can get… One set of guys who are probably a nightmare for any motorbike manufacturer cause they push the vehicle, infact ride only in extremes…. God alone knows how many ceased engines!!! Most of them ride like riding a 200000 cc engine on a 500cc :) Some guys ride all over India solo (refering to biker shantanu of madras bulls)… What metal are they made of!!! ???? From planet krypton???!!!! Hats off :)

Made a return point at Hunsur. Visited Tipu’s death place. One of the greatest king south india has ever produced and he laid there gathering dust. Things have their glory only when they ‘are’ i guess.

Visited the ranganthitu bird santuary…. wow was the only word :) went on a boat ride. I was like freaking out putting my hand in water when the boatman showed us a crocodile only 5ms away. man that was close… but they dont eat humans here the man said ‘i never was one :) i felt’
total bbcc… will be back with an update on what happened…. for now will catch the sleep that is chasing me.. :)

All that i can see right now on the screen is the headlight of my trailing bike! 440 kms! Ambur Biriyani!
Ride was too good, riding on a staggered formation with 30+ riders makes you kind of feel like a f16 squadron leader :)
Yelagiri was too nice. Wonderful climate. We were joined by some RTMC bangalore bikers as well. It was fun all the way back home. Met some bulls! Will write more about them later… Feeling too sleepy now.

So instead of loitering around thought could pen down for a change. This what happens to a nocturnal creature on a weekend i guess!
Am going for a Yelagiri Ride 2 hours from now. Need to desperatly catch some sleep, will try again now.
