Am going for my first cycle rally of my life tomorrow. Collected the bib today. Number 1088 Will update once the ride is done.

Tried getting the registration into the 60 km category, but only Tamilnadu Cycle Federation members can be in that category so have to do the 25km category. But it is going to be a nice experience.

Well here i am back from the Chennai Cyclathon 2010. Like anticipated, could ride only in the 25km category. But due to some permission hassle, the ride was cut short from Anna University – Tidel return. Hardly 5 -7 kms. It became a rally and not a race.My bib number was 1088. If rally was the idea why have bib’s?? Chalta hai na! Ab murugappa group ko paisa udana hai to kya kar sakte hain?!! ))) Good police support should say! Traffic was blocked in the route we took.

But many riders were disappointed because of this ride distance change. some had come from Bangalore for the ride and probably will return disappointed. But, then this was the first cyclathon of this size in Chennai, so was a welcome introduction to many including me All credits to BSA and the rest of the gang.

Should take to cycling more often from henceforth. I am told the 60 km category ride went well. Should compete in that category from next year.
