John Demjanjuk – Its what he represents that’s being brought to justice!

John Demjanjuk
‘John Demjanjuk’ is so popular a point of discussion that at the time of writing this post, it was a trending topic on twitter. In a world where ‘The Lockerbie’ bomber was released on humanitarian grounds, one wonders why even waste time going about the trial for a 89 year old who at the end of the day was only a guard, low in the command in one of the Nazi camps.
But why is Germany so adamant on doing what it is doing! For one: What JD represents is what is left of the last remnants that Germany always wants to dis-associate itself with. Even if it is at the cost of symbolic that actual justice.
In all likelihood the sentence might be a suspended one, but then Germany wants to make sure that these men were tried and do not represent what the rest of Germany stood for. There are mixed feeling about this issue in the west, but atleast some form of justice being done to the thousands who actually died.
Like its said “It is what John represents that being tried and not the man himself”
