We’re experiencing technical difficulties – Google Chat problem

If your chat window shows the error, ‘We’re experiencing technical difficulties that may prevent your chats from being sent,’ you can try signing into Gmail via the secure site, available at https://mail.google.com/mail.
Gmail offers this interface for extra security. Since web browsers and security software are more likely to trust encrypted data, visiting Gmail through the secure site will often resolve issues caused by those applications.

What about GTalk? Mine disconnects every half an hour & loses msgs too!!!
I’ve been seeing this problem a lot lately and had some issues with it myself this week! Very frustrating..!
In case someone else fall upon this page, I’ve just quickly put some step-by-step instructions on my site to try help other people fix the issue.
It worked for me anyway and none of the other things I tried did, so hopefully I can help at least 1 other person

After racking my brain for days and reading all the troubleshooters (which we all useless) and not one fixed my problem then I found your site today and it was so simple by adding that extra url into the trusted sites fixed it! I’m eternally grateful! Now all I need to know why this isn’t listed as one of the causes in the “gmail chat” troubleshooter?!
