The number of troops deployed in Kargil war was around 30000 against a 5000 strong Pakistani force. And that a full blown short war! Now Government is talking about deploying more than 70000 paramilitary forces to come down on Naxals!

Is the threat level so high?! Or are we at a domestic war? Though there is rational is wanting to curtail escalation of violence, like Binayak sen said ‘Violence undermines the legitimacy of the State’

Should we not look at sorting this issue by dialogue? After all they are all our countrymen!
