The ‘LB Road’ project finally tendered by Chennai Corporation. This has been reeling inside everyone’s head as when would this day be coming! We always knew it was somewhere there but then the actual event turned out to be an anti climax with little or no resistance as expected. What’s going to be done? The pavements / sidewalks, landscaping / traffic island are to be re-designed and constructed. Its a 0.5 cr project. The project is first to be officially tendered out for which City Connect worked and marks a very big psychological push that probably was needed.

What began as a basic suggestive change of the urban design has moved on to be a multi-dimensional design exercise.

But all credit surely goes to Raj Cherubal and his eternal optimism. Something you rarely find in the public space these days!
