WordPress permalink structure change
Posted on February 23rd, 2009 by daniel robinson
It should have happened to most of us who learnt wordpress on the go! You started with a permalink structure and then you had to change it because you feel the earlier one is not optimized enough!
The only worry being loosing the existing traffic! and alll those 404 problems! So you can use these plugin’s that create a 301 redirect for your exiting pages.
I would suggest blogname.com/category/(/%postname%/) as the most optimum structure. But depends on what you want to have!
And here are 3 Permalink migration or Redirect plugins I recommend:
1. Permalinks Migration Plugin
2. Permalink Redirect WordPress Plugin
3. Permalink Redirect WordPress Plugin
