Just a though while watching some programs of the Discovery channel. Be it the Future weapons program! or the Prison story! Why is the oracle of science channels glamorizing violence. Why would a channel that is aimed at the scientific community or the science yearning crowd do such a thing?! Falling viewership perhaps!

I don’t feel they exactly are supporting it, but then again the accompanying music and the tone of the presenter is like a James Bond patronizing such things! For god’s sake these weapons are aimed at killing people not objects.. You are talking of military command using the advantage of weapons that can see around curved edges! Creative violence!

Parallels of BBC world soon after the removal of autonomy by the Blair government. Not quiet a direct parallel but the demise of the elegance of the both the channels seem to be taking the same path towards oblivion!
